Promoting Positive Behaviour

This January will be going back to basics with respect within the school.

Please speak to your children about how they talk to each other and also to staff in the school as we have respect as both a value and a school rule. The level of respect shown by children is generally good, but we want it to improve to be excellent. Please remind your children to use their manners and to respectfully disagree with someone if they are upset / have an issue with someone. Everyone deserves to come to school and be respected and safe at all times.

All children are expected to show respect for everyone in school and to follow the 3 school rules:

  1. Ready - listen, work and learn
  2. Safe – make safe choices
  3. Respectful – kind, patience and honest

All children deserve the right to play and learn in a place where they are respected and in which they feel like they belong. Following our school rules will help children feel part of Team Miller and to feel respected.

If a child is not following the rules, then Parents /Carers will be contacted to discuss the next steps.

Please help your child by constantly using these rules at home and ensuring that your child follows them at home and in school. We are trying to build a team spirit within the school.

Please encourage your child to settle any disputes calmly and respectfully. Together we can build a more settled community in Castlemilk.
